The 100 highest salaries in the administration to be published on the Internet

The 100 highest salaries in the State Administration and state enterprises will be published online, according to the Development Strategy of the State Administration, which will be discussed on Tuesday at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. The document is available on the portal of the Government, strategy.bg, and the deadline for receiving proposals expired on January 13.

The document, which covers the period 2013 - 2020, reads that, currently, none of the services to the central Government is performed through municipalities, which is unacceptable. Their management is envisaged to become as transparent as possible, and, for this purpose, public procurement procedures organised by the State will be accessible via the Internet. Furthermore, procedures and documentation on services for businesses at the municipal level will be standardised.

Of the 200 appointments in the Government, only 5 include a competition, Meglena Kuneva's party said for komentator.bg. A check with the website of the register of administrative structures, however, indicated that 456 people work at the Council of Ministers. Of these, 239 are employed under service contracts and 217 under labour ones. There are 11 vacant positions. The great number of staff in the Council of Ministers is due to the fact that the closed Ministry of the State Administration merged into the Administration in 1 Dondukov Street, as well as into several departments of the Ministry of Finance. These were really appointed without a competition, but, in this case, legislation allows it. Also, there are no competitions for political offices, since experts and ministers leave together after their mandate ends.
