Deputy Mayor of Sofia Dontcho Barbalov: Sofia Municipality has a high credit rating and its finances are in good condition

The long-term credit rating of Sofia Municipality is BB +, equal to that of Bulgaria. That was said for Agency "Focus" by the deputy mayor of Sofia Doncho Barbalov in connection with the credit rating of Sofia Municipality.
Barbalov said that "Standard & Poor's" has confirmed the rating of Sofia Municipality. According to him, the international agency reported very good financial results in terms of good liquidity, good debt coverage and predictable policies. "It gives them a reason to once again pass the capital’s rating equal to that of Bulgaria," he explained.
"We have preliminary revenue data on the performance of SM in the first nine months of this year. We have over 420 million. Levs revenue - by 53 million. Levs more than the same period last year. We met 71% of the annual plan, "said the deputy mayor, specifying that in financial terms the year was extremely successful.
Doncho Barbalov added that for the last 2-3 years the rating of the city is equal to that of the country. The Deputy Mayor for Finance recalled that every six months to prepare this analysis and the next one will be in the spring.
