A Bulgarian tourist in Kentucky discovers southern hospitality first-hand

DIAMOND DAYS is a feature-length narrative film about a lonely Bulgarian playwright named Krasimira and her first visit to Kentucky to see the English-language premiere of her latest play. In the bluegrass state she takes a tour of a world-famous horse farm and meets a restless young woman who dreams of leaving Kentucky for good. The lead actor of Krasimira's autobiographical play is a recently divorced actor attempting to impress his distant 13 year-old daughter by showing her the "glamour" of a regional theater production. In four whirlwind days, Krasimira learns the meaning of "southern hospitality" and makes friends amongst an alien culture.
