"Erotic art forms of the 20th and 21st century" is the new exhibition at the Museum Gallery of  Modern Art Sofia. It includes over 40 original works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse, Robert Indiana, and most famous contemporary Bulgarian  artists - Houben RT, Pavel Koychev, Greddy Assa and others. The exhibition also features two graphics works of Andy Warhol's series offset lithography "In the Bottom of My Garden" № 17 and № 21,Each: 21.6 x 27.9 cm, medium: lithograph.

Andy Warhol's In the Bottom of My Garden portfolio from 1956 contains 20 hand-colored offset lithographs. The lettering was done by Andy Warhol's mother, Julia Warhol. The complete set of 21 lithographs including the cover, thirteen with unique hand- colouring. Each: 21.6 x 27.9 cm (8 1/2 x 11 in). Signed 'Andy Warhol' lower right of cover; inscribed 'Alice' upper left cover. Stamped with the Authentication Board seal and numbered 'A158.095' on the interior back cover.

When Warhol produced his next book of drawings, after successful  THE BOY BOOK represented in the Bodley Gallery - In The Bottom of My Garden - Charles Lisanby thought that many of the images were based on books they came across in Amsterdam during their world tour. An exhibition of Warhol's drawings from the book took place at Serendipity 3 in December 1956.

Charles Lisanby once said: " ...These pictures here - In the Bottom of My Garden - these were done after our famous tour around the world, and in Amsterdam... while we were there [in Amsterdam], we found a series of little books... of fairies wearing flowers as costumes, and so on. And he really based all of these drawings in this section on those. I suppose not all of them, but the whole idea was, more or less, inspired by these things... Flower Fairies of the Autumn by Cicely Mary Barker... They're children's books, and you can see where he took the things."

Nathan Gluck recalled that Warhol's self-published book was sometimes referred to as "The Fairy Book" and that Warhol's images may have been influenced by a book they saw at a book dealer named Cane, probably on "34th Street or so," where Warhol purchased books. One of the books, Les Fleurs Animee, illustrated by J. J. Grandville had images where flowers were "little people and things." Another possible influence was Jacques Stella's Les Jeux et plaisirs de l'enfance.
