MEW receives the Environmental Impact Assessment of the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline was submitted yesterday to the Ministry of Environment and Water (MEW), told Klassa Denitsa Beyazova, Director of the Bulgarian branch of the Trans-Balkan Pipeline company. She explained that the project consultants, ILF Consulting Engineers and Environmental Resources Management (ERM), have tried to answer the supplementary questions of the Ministry and now the company is expecting the respond of the State.
Russian Pravda daily wrote in its editorial article yesterday that the postponement of the EIA was only a pretext for the Bulgarian side because it had not been satisfied with the financial framework of the project.
