Government Sends Frigate to Participate in NATO Libya Operation

The decision on sending the frigate
Drazki with a crew of 160 to participate in NATO's operation in
Libya has been passed, Defence Minister Anyu Angelov said after
Wednesday's regular meeting of the Government.

The operation will cost 1.5 million leva.

The beginning of the frigate's participation will depend on its
readiness, but this will happen no earlier than April 15,
Angelov added. The frigate is expected to take part in the
operation for not more than a month, plus another ten days to go
to location and come back.
