Suspending contracts with mobile operators with a 7-day notice

Subscribers will be able to suspend their contracts with mobile operators with a 7-day notice, according to the amendments to the Electronic Communications Act, which the Cabinet adopted yesterday. Parvan Rusinov, Deputy Minister of Transport, said that this was one of the measures which will allow citizens to defend themselves after the conclusion of contracts with mobile operators. In case of already signed one or two-year contracts, however, people remain vulnerable because they are obliged to pay a penalty when suspending the service.
