Solution on the infrastructure of Sunny Beach LTD sought

By the end of July, a working group of lawyers should deliver a decision on the actual manager of the infrastructure of one of the largest resorts in Bulgaria - Sunny Beach, announced the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism (MEET). On Saturday, the establishment of Traicho Traikov organised a meeting for the discussion of problems of the resort complex. For more than 10 years now, this issue cannot be finally resolved. Currently, the infrastructure is owned by the state-owned joint-stock company Sunny Beach LTD, whose principal is MEET. The workshop will include experts of all parties concerned, including Sunny Beach LTD, the Union of Hotel Owners at Sunny Beach, representatives of the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, as well as other independent professionals. It is aimed at assessing whether the ownership of the infrastructure should remain with the company of Sunny Beach LTD or the Nessebar Municipality. The hoteliers and owners of the complex are against the state-owned company managing it.

The state-owned enterprise is purely a trade company, which is not even managing the water flow and sewage system since 'ViK Burgas' (Water Supply and Sewerage SPLTD) is in charge of this, said before Klassa daily, Vesselin Nalbantov, Management Board member of the Union of Hotel Owners at Sunny Beach and owner of Hotel Colosseum. The Nessebar Municipality must also exercise control over the resort and bring order to it. Besides, its task is to collect fees and charges, and manage the infrastructure.

Today, the Union of Hotel Owners will discuss the proposals for the convening of expert groups to solve temporary problems for the season and on the management of infrastructure as a whole. By the end of the week, hoteliers and companies must decide on the actual manner of bringing order to the resort's accessibility and on the method of regulating the number of mobile stores in the early summer season, announced also the Economy Ministry.
