Tsvetanov: There is no reason for Borissov to be afraid of me

There is no reason for Borissov to be afraid of me. He knows that I hate treachery, stated yesterday on Nova TV Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Deputy Minister of Interior and Chairman of the pre-election headquarters of the parliamentary group (PG) GERB (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria). He added that he was the second-ranking superior in the executive power, as well as a representative of the strongest party in our country and there was nothing more to seek because otherwise he would jeopardise Bulgaria.

"GERB is powerful when Borissov and Tsvetanov cooperate and complement each other," said Tsvetanov.
Tsvetanov stated that he had long been aware of the fact that he will not be the presidential candidate nominated by the party.

"It depends on what your personal objectives are - whether it comes down to long-term or temporary success with deteriorating results," explained he. According to him, Borissov did not run for a Head of State because he is very responsible. "In a long-term political project, we must act as a team and continue to collaborate because of the people," said Tsvetanov.

"We guarantee fair elections. Let us all participate in this as citizens," appealed the Interior Minister. The Deputy Prime Minister added that GERB had set itself the goal of winning more posts for municipal councillors and mayors than the ones it occupies at the moment. Furthermore, Tsvetanov wished the GERB party to also win the presidential election.
