Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova: More than BGN 20 mln invested in construction, repair of schools, kindergartens this year

“More than BGN 20 million has been invested in construction and repair of schools and kindergartens in Sofia this year.”
This is what Mayor of the capital city Sofia Yordanka Fandakova said speaking for Radio FOCUS on the occasion of the first school day of the new 2016/2017 schoolyear.
The mayor explained that 51 kindergartens and schools were undergoing overall repair, while 6 new buildings were under construction, which was soon to be finalised.
“We will start the construction of three new sites by the end of the year. They will be finalised in 2017,” Ms Fandakova explained.
Mayor of the capital city Sofia Yordanka Fandakova commented further that the major investments were made in enhancing the energy efficiency of the buildings, which resulted in smaller expenses.
