GORUBSO-Madan should pay its workers within a month

“The Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism gave one month to the concessionaire of GORUBSO-Madan to pay the overdue wages and the insurance instalments of its workers. Otherwise, the concession contract will be revoked,” Deputy Minister Delian Dobrev explained in Parliament today. The letter with this ultimatum was handed to the company’s Executive Director. “Even if the wages are duly paid, the Ministry of Economy and the Labour Inspectorate will be closely monitoring the management of the company,” added Dobrev. According to him, candidates willing to take over the concession for the extraction of ore will certainly be found. The Ministry added that the GORUBSO-Madan, owned by businessman Valentin Zahariev, had not paid on time all the concession fees due to the State.
