Workers from the Lead and Zinc Complex in Kardjali stage another protest

Yesterday, the workers from the Lead and Zinc Complex in Kardjali blocked again for an hour the crossroad of the Bulgaria Blvd. and the Bulair St - a key junction in the town. The protests of the steelworkers continue today. A tent camp will be built on the green areas around the monument of Vassil Levski, near the administration building of the municipality, where signatures in support of the protesting workers will be collected. The protesters insist on being informed of the outcome of the negotiations on the future of the enterprise. The protest is also related to the overdue wages, amounting to almost BGN 1.5 mln, for preservation of the number of jobs and improvement of the working conditions in the company.
