Rossen Chobanov appointed to IBEC management

The Government has approved the nomination of Rossen Chobanov as Board Member of the International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBED) with a mandate of up to five years. He will succeed to the position Lubomir Filipov whose term in office expires.

As a member of the IBED Board, Bulgaria’s representative will participate in the operation and management of the bank, and will uphold our country’s financial and economic interests.

Rossen Chobanov is a graduate of the Law Faculty of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He is a highly-qualified professional with extensive experience in the banking sector, as well as in civil, administrative and financial law.

Bulgaria is among the nine nations – co-founders of IBED, among which are Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The priorities in IBED’s activities are the crediting of corporate clients and the servicing of contractors, mainly from the bank’s member countries. The priority in IBED’s strategy for Bulgaria is the crediting of industry, agriculture, trade, transport and the banking sector.
