Bulgarian expert Mihail Konstantinov: European leaders have too little time to rescue the EU

“The European leaders have too little time to rescue the EU. The price that will be paid for this failure will be terrifying.”
This is what Professor Mihail Konstantinov, mathematician and expert in elections law, said commenting on UK’s decision to leave the EU, speaking for the morning programme of Radio FOCUS.
In his words, the uncertainty around UK’s exit should be solved as soon as possible.
“There is a great chance for Scotland to hold an independence referendum,” the expert remarked.
“However, no one mentions the fact that not only the EU is faced with the risk of collapse but also a nuclear country, a member of the UN Security Council. If Scotland leaves the UK, which is very likely to happen, for the first time in world history a nuclear power will collapse but it will be unable to share out the bases. The status of the Clyde base sets a very difficult problem. I hope that the Scots will not rush into holding this referendum. We should also mention Catalonia, which is another painful spot for Spain,” Professor Konstantinov said further.
In his words, one of the reasons for British people’s decision to leave is the irresponsible behaviour of the world leaders towards the migration crisis.
