Bulgaria mandate-holder CEDB announced running mates for presidential polls

  Mandate-holder Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) party officially announced its president and vice president candidates for the forthcoming presidential elections, which will be held in Bulgaria on November 6, 2016.
These are National Assembly Chairperson Tsetska Tsacheva, running for president, and MP Vice Admiral Plamen Manushev, running for vice president.
CEDB’s candidates for the presidential elections were officially announced by party’s leadership at a forum held at the National Palace of Culture in the capital city Sofia on Sunday. 
Speaking before the delegates Ms Tsacheva said that she would be a guarantee of the Bulgarian Constitution and together with Vice Admiral Plamen Manushev they would work for and defend the national interest of Bulgaria. 
Tsetska Tsacheva remarked that she was filled with the political energy of the CEDB for stability and security. She stressed that she was not heading at a battle but rather at a competition where the winner would be selected by the Bulgarian nation and expressed certainty that the victory would go for the CEDB party. 
Ms Tsacheva added that she would approach all candidates in the competition with respect and expressed hopes that the competition would be focused on ideas to the benefit of Bulgaria. 
Mr Manushev, on the other hand, said that Ms Tsacheva and he would defend the Bulgarian national interest and would work for strong, stable, prospering, respected and peaceful Bulgaria. 
Speaking of the running mates of his party Prime Minister Boyko Borisov commented that he was already fed up with the statements about [him being] “the father of the nation” and it was high time to have a “mother of the nation”, too. 

Who is Tsetska Tsacheva – biography:
Tsetska Tsacheva Drangovska was born in the village of Dragana, district of Lovech, on May 24, 958. She is married with one son.
Ms Tsacheva graduated law at Sofia University. She worked as juristconsult at the District People’s Council in the town of Pleven, where later on she was appointed head of the legal department. 
Since 1992 she worked as a lawyer at the Bar of Pleven. In 2007 she was elected municipal councillor with the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) in the town of Pleven. Before the election, she worked as consultant in the municipality for 7 years.
After the 2009 general elections she entered the parliament with the parliamentary group of the CEDB. On July 14, 2009 she was elected chairperson of the 41st National Assembly, being the first woman appointed on the post in the history of the Bulgarian parliament. 
On October 27, 2014 Tsetska Tsacheva was elected Chairperson of the 43rd National Assembly.
